Weather Bulletin
Issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre Nadi at 10:45 AM on Monday, November 24, 2025
Attention, residents of Fiji! It seems Mother Nature has decided to throw a bit of a temper tantrum. A STRONG WIND WARNING is still hoisting its flag for the land areas of Macuata, Northern Bua, Cikobia, Taveuni, Lau, and Lomaiviti Group. So, if you were thinking of taking your umbrella out for a stroll, you might want to reconsider its safety!
Meanwhile, a HEAVY RAIN WARNING is plastered across the entire Fiji Group. You might want to grab a rubber duck for your next bathing adventure!
What’s brewing? An active trough of low pressure is churning up clouds, showers, and rain, making a splash across the nation for the next few days.
Forecast until midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group: Expect strong northwesterly winds, trying to sweep you off your feet with speeds reaching up to 45 km/hr. Gusts may kick it up a notch to 55 km/hr! The wind will begin to calm down later tomorrow, so hang tight.
For all you ocean lovers, brace for moderate to rough seas. And yes, the rain will keep crashing the party—with the possibility of heavy showers and the occasional thunderstorm getting a bit too dramatic!
In low-lying areas, localised heavy falls may lead to flash flooding, so put on your life jacket if you’re in a flood-prone zone! The rain is set to ease over the Western Division later tomorrow, so perhaps a little sunshine will peek through to save the day.
Looking ahead to Wednesday: Expect occasional showers and some of those surprisingly intense thunderstorms (because why not?). Isolated heavy falls are likely, so keep that raincoat handy.
