Weather Update

Attention, weather enthusiasts! It’s your friendly neighborhood meteorologist here, ready to sprinkle a bit of humor on our rather breezy Tuesday forecast. So, hold onto your hats (and perhaps your roofs) as we dive into the weather wonders of today, November 25, 2025!

First up on our weather warning billboard: we’ve got a **Strong Wind Warning** in place. It’s a bit blustery today for our friends in Macuata, Northern Bua, Cikobia, Taveuni, Lau, and the Lomaiviti group. If you were planning a picnic, might want to swap it for a cozy couch day.

But wait, there’s more! A **Heavy Rain Warning** is rolling into town, particularly for the northern and eastern parts of Fiji. So grab your umbrellas and perhaps some galoshes if you’re feeling adventurous because we could be seeing some dramatic downpours.

On the menu for today: an active trough of low pressure is serving up a hearty helping of clouds, showers, and rain across the northern and eastern regions until later on. And just when you thought it couldn’t get any more exciting, another trough is forecasted to sweep in from the north tomorrow. Buckle up, weather aficionados, the fun’s just begun!

Looking at our forecast until midnight, brace yourself for strong northwesterly winds—think 45 km/h with lovely gusts up to 55 km/h. Perhaps it’s a good day to consider installing those backyard kites! These winds will taper off to a more manageable breeze later in the day.

We’re looking at moderate to rough seas out there, so if you’re planning to take a boat ride, maybe leave it for another day. Rain will be a frequent visitor, especially across Vanua Levu, Taveuni, and the Lau group, with potential thunderstorms adding a bit of drama to the skies. And remember—local heavy falls could result in some surprise flash floods, so keep an eye on your rubber duckies in low-lying areas!

As we stroll into Wednesday, expect more of the same chaos—occasional showers, heavier downpours, and perhaps a few rumbles of thunder just to spice things up.

For Navua, Suva, and Nausori, heavy afternoon showers will be making an appearance, likely easing off by dusk. And if you’re in the Coral Coast, just a few brief showers are expected—perfect for dodging any weather-related drama.

Now, onto our beloved locations:
– **Nadi / Lautoka / Ba**: Partly cloudy with brief showers. Min: 24, Max: 30.
– **Labasa**: Brace for strong winds and periods of rain, easing later. Min: 23, Max: 30.
– **Taveuni**: Still strong winds and rain, but things should chill out later. Min: 24, Max: 26.
– **Kadavu**: Only partly cloudy—don’t forget the sunscreen! Min: 23, Max: 27.
– **Rotuma**: It’s a wet and windy party that won’t quit! Keep those raincoats handy. Min: 25, Max: 27.

So whether you’re exercising your kite-flying skills or simply enjoying the show from inside, stay safe and weather-wise! We’ve got a rollercoaster of forecast fun ahead, so keep your spirits high and your umbrellas handy!
