A strong wind warning remains in force for coastal land areas for Yasawa, Rakiraki, Nabouwalu, Udu Point, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands; the Lau and Lomaiviti groups; Kadavu and nearby smaller islands; and nearby islands in those regions.
Situation:
A trough of low pressure lies slow-moving just to the south of the group. Another trough is expected to approach from the northeast tomorrow. Clouds and showers are likely to affect the northern and eastern parts of the group over the next few days.
Forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group:
– For coastal land areas of Yasawa, Rakiraki, Nabouwalu, Udu Point, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, Lau and Lomaiviti group, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands: Southeast winds up to 45 km/hr.
– For the rest of Fiji: Moderate to fresh southeast winds, gusty at times. Rough seas.
Today:
– Many areas will see cloudy periods with showers. Notable pockets of showers over Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Cakaudrove, Southern Bua, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands, and the Lau and Lomaiviti groups. Isolated heavy falls possible.
– Elsewhere, partly cloudy with isolated brief showers possible during the night.
– Cool at night.
Tomorrow:
– Occasional showers and possible isolated thunderstorms over the Northern Division, Lau and Lomaiviti groups, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra. Isolated heavy falls likely. Localised heavy falls may lead to flash-flooding of low-lying areas.

Situation: A trough of low pressure with associated clouds and showers affects Rotuma. An easterly wind flow also prevails over the island, with some showers and possible isolated thunderstorms. Southeast winds averaging 45 km/hr. Rough seas.
