Fiji Weather Bulletin: Rotuma Heavy Rain Warning in Effect with Widespread Showers and Thunderstorms Across Islands

Weather Bulletin: The Forecast that Makes You Feel Alive

Greetings, weather enthusiasts! Buckle up because we’ve got a stormy ride ahead. This is your weather report straight from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi, issued just in time for your evening tea and biscuits!

Right now, an adventurous trough of low pressure is showing its face to the east of Fiji’s northern and eastern bits. Don’t worry too much—this mischief-maker is expected to tone it down by tonight.

Here’s what the skies are brewing up for the year 2025, at least until midnight tomorrow:

Over in the land of Vanua Levu, Taveuni, and some of those charming smaller islands, expect an encore of occasional showers and the occasional dramatic thunderstorm. Meanwhile, in places like Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, and Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra, you’ll find some cloudy shenanigans accompanied by a rainy show. Heads up! Localized heavy falls could promote puddle-jumping in low-lying flood-prone areas.

The rest of you folks might enjoy some sunshine, but look out for isolated afternoon or evening showers—who knows, they might just pop up to crash your beach plans! Oh, and for Viti Levu, don’t be shocked if you hear the rumble of isolated thunderstorms later on. Moderate southeast to northwest winds will keep things interesting, and the seas are feeling a little moderate too.

Now, let’s peek ahead into the crystal ball for Saturday:

More cloudy periods await, with a side of showers and isolated thunderstorms across the Northern Division, Taveuni, and more of our favorite island spots. If you’re in the southern regions, don’t get too comfortable—those afternoon thunderstorms are likely to drop by for a visit too.

Now, let’s navigate some localized forecasts:

For Navua / Suva / Nausori: Prepare for cloudy periods that occasionally shower you with love. Tomorrow’s weather screams minimum 23 and maximum 29 degrees.

If you’re enjoying the sun at Sigatoka/Coral Coast: A lovely fine day awaits you, apart from an uninvited afternoon shower. Tomorrow you can expect a min of 23 and a max of 30 degrees—and the sunshine is decidedly in your favor for Saturday!

Over in Nadi / Lautoka / Ba: Fine weather is also on the menu, with just a hint of an afternoon shower. You’re looking at a minimum of 24 and a toasty maximum of 32 for tomorrow!

In Tavua/Rakiraki: More fine weather, with just a sprinkle of afternoon rain. Tomorrow’s forecast is a min of 23 and max of 31.

For Natadradave/Korovou: Cloudy periods are incoming. Tomorrow you’ll have a min of 23 with a max of 29.

Yasawa/Mamanuca group: Just like a good book, there’s a fine day ahead, apart from the occasional afternoon shower. Tomorrow’s numbers: Min 24, Max 31.

To our friends in Labasa: Occasional showers and thunderstorms could shake things up tomorrow—head’s up for a min of 23 and max of 31.

Savusavu: Get ready for spirits to be provided by occasional showers and thunderous applause. Expect a min of 23 and a max of 30.

Over at Nabouwalu, Taveuni, and Lau and Lomaiviti group: Don’t brush away your umbrellas just yet! You’ll have occasional showers and thunderstorms. You’re looking at 23 minimum to 31 maximum as well.

For Kadavu: Cloudy periods and some showers are on for the day. Tomorrow’s forecast is just as cozy—min of 22, max of 29.

And lastly, for our friends on Rotuma: A HEAVY RAIN WARNING is hovering over you. Expect occasional rain, with some heavy moments of excitement and maybe a thunderstorm or two. Tomorrow’s range will be from 24 to 28 degrees, and the seas aren’t feeling too gentle either!

So there you have it folks! Enjoy your weather adventure, whether you’re soaking in the sun or dodging raindrops. Stay dry or stay cool—whichever suits your plans!
