Weather Update

Well, folks, it appears that Mother Nature has decided to be a bit moody lately, thanks to a moist easterly wind flow that’s sweeping across our beautiful islands. It looks like we’re in for a mixed bag of weather goodies leading up to midnight tomorrow!

In the forecast: expect some clouds and quick showers in the usual suspects like Serua-Namosi, Navua, Suva, Nausori, and more. Meanwhile, if you’re in places like Viti Levu and Vanua Levu, keep your umbrellas at the ready because those afternoon and evening thunderstorms are set to swoop in like an unexpected guest at a party. And let’s not forget—localized heavy rains might just decide to throw a flash flood party in low-lying areas, so stay tuned!

The winds will be moderate, so your beach hair should remain manageable, and the seas will be moderate too—not too choppy for a lazy boat ride.

As for Sunday’s forecast, we’re expecting a pretty similar situation with clouds and a few showers across the same regions, plus those pesky thunderstorms still lurking around.

Here’s the breakdown for your favorite spots:

In Navua, Suva, and Nausori, cloudy periods with brief showers are on the agenda, with temperatures ranging from 24 to 31 degrees. Cozy!

Natadradave and Korovou are also in the cloud club, with the same temperatures. Very fashionable, I must say.

For the sun-seekers in Sigatoka and the Coral Coast, it’s mostly fine! Just expect some evening showers and thunderous surprises later on, with a warm range of 25 to 32 degrees.

Now, in Nadi, Lautoka, and Ba, you’ll also have fine weather, except for those charming afternoon showers and the occasional thunderstorm, reaching highs of 33 degrees. Perfect for a cooling dip during those hot spells!

Tavua and Rakiraki will enjoy similar conditions too. Who doesn’t love a bit of sun followed by a waterworks show?

For the Yasawa and Mamanuca group, you’re also basking in fine weather, with just a slight chance of evening showers, keeping things cozy between 25 and 32 degrees.

Labasa, Savusavu, and Nabouwalu, you might want to keep your raincoats handy because sporadic showers and thunderstorms could crash your sunny party.

Over in Taveuni, Lau, and Kadavu, it’s a classic cloudy affair with some brief showers. Not too shabby!

Lastly, for our dear friends in Rotuma, expect more cloudiness and some showers to keep things interesting, with temperatures fluctuating from 25 to 31 degrees.

There you have it! Whether you’re dodging raindrops or chilling under the sun, remember to keep an eye on the skies—because in Fiji, you never know what the weather might bring!
