Situation: East to southeast winds are brushing across the group, while a weak trough of low pressure nudges in from the northeast.
Forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group:
– Expect occasional showers and the odd thunderstorm over Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands.
– Cloudy spells with showers across Serua-Namosi, Navua-Suva-Nausori, Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra-Rakiraki, Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, plus the Yasawa, Lau and Lomaiviti groups. Showers are likely tomorrow, with isolated thunderstorms and the possibility of heavy falls. Localised downpours could trigger flash flooding in low-lying and flood-prone areas.
– Elsewhere, fine conditions with isolated brief afternoon showers.
– Winds: Moderate east to southeast.
