Grab your umbrellas and batten down the hatches, because we have a strong wind warning still fluttering about for the land areas of the Southern Lau Group. Meanwhile, the rest of the Lau Group can breathe a sigh of relief, as that warning has been officially canceled.

In other news, a heavy rain alert is still in play for the eastern half of Viti Levu, covering the Serua-Namosi through Navua-Suva-Nausori to Tailevu-Naitasiri-Ra areas, as well as Southern Bua, Cakaudrove, Taveuni, and their small island buddies, including the Lau and Lomaiviti Groups and Kadavu.

What’s the deal? A shallow low-pressure system is chilling along with a trough just hanging out over the eastern parts of Fiji. As it continues its slow stroll south, it’s set to shower us with some delightful rain and the occasional thunderstorms—perfect for deciding where to put your next indoor plants, right?

Now, onto the forecast until midnight tonight for the Fiji group:
Expect occasional rain with sneak attacks of isolated heavy falls and thunderstorms over those aforementioned areas. Elsewhere will be cloudy with some showers, so don’t be surprised if your outdoor plans get a little soggy. Just remember, heavy rainfall might lead to flash flooding in low-lying areas, so beware of unexpected swimming pools!

Winds will be strong out here, gusting up to 45 km/h over the southern Lau group, while elsewhere we might enjoy some moderate breezes turning a bit cheeky from the northwest later in the day.

Monday’s Outlook:
Rain is back on the menu, with heavier servings expected at times, along with a few cheeky thunderstorms. Strong northeasterly winds will continue, especially for the Northern Division, Yasawa, and the northern Lau group, ensuring that those nautical adventures should be handled with care. We’ll see some rough seas, so maybe keep the boats docked!

As for individual areas:
– **Navua/Suva/Nausori**: Rainy and thunderous. Tomorrow: Min: 24, Max: 29.
– **Sigatoka/Coral Coast**: Cloudy with potential afternoon showers. Tomorrow: Min: 23, Max: 29.
– **Nadi/Lautoka/Ba**: Count on some cloudiness, with afternoon showers sneaking in. Tomorrow: Min: 23, Max: 31.
– **Tavua/Rakiraki**: Occasional rain with heavy falls threatened. Tomorrow: Min: 23, Max: 30.
– **Natadradave/Korovou**: Rain and thunder keeping it lively. Tomorrow: Min: 23, Max: 29.
– **Yasawa/Mamanuca Group**: Cloudy with some showers lurking. Tomorrow: Min: 24, Max: 31.
– **Labasa**: Expect some cloudy chaos, with potential heavy rain. Tomorrow: Min: 22, Max: 32.
– **Savusavu, Nabouwalu, Taveuni, Lau and Lomaiviti Groups**, etc.: All on the rainy rollercoaster, so gear up for splashy weather!

For Rotuma, buckle up for a heavy rain alert as an active trough wades in by midday. Expect rain and squally thunderstorms showing up for Monday as well.

Keep your spirits high, even if the skies are gray! Stay dry and enjoy the weather—after all, it gives you a great excuse to cozy up indoors!
