Weather Update
Coming in hot from the National Weather Forecasting Centre Nadi at 10:45 am this fine Thursday on October 16th, 2025!
So here’s the scoop: A lovely southeast wind is blowing over our beautiful islands. Meanwhile, there’s a low-pressure trough lounging around just north of Fiji, and it’s planning on drifting southward, which means our easterly winds will be getting a power-up from tomorrow!
What can you expect for the Fiji group until midnight tomorrow? Well, if you’re in the Interior or eastern parts of Viti Levu—from Serua-Namosi through Navua-Suva-Nausori all the way up to Tailevu North—you might want to grab an umbrella, or three! Cloudy periods with showers are on the agenda, and we might see some splashy developments with isolated heavy downpours and a chance of the occasional thunderstorm.
For everyone else in the outer regions—think fine conditions, perhaps with a cheeky afternoon or evening shower popping in for a visit. Overall, moderate southeast winds will keep things breezy, with seas that are moderate but could get a little ruffled.
And let’s take a peek into your weekend, shall we? Saturday’s forecast suggests those occasional showers will continue to dance around—especially in the Interior and eastern areas, including the southern Bua and Cakaudrove. If you live elsewhere, don’t let your guard down; afternoon or evening showers are still flirting around, just waiting to surprise you.
Now, down to the details:
