Welcome to your slightly whimsical weather update straight from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi, where it’s 7:30 PM on this thrilling Monday, October 27, 2025.
Let’s talk about what’s cooking in the sky! A rather sluggish trough of low pressure has decided to take a leisurely stroll eastward, dragging along some clouds and showers that are planning to hang out in the northern and eastern parts of our beautiful islands until tonight. Meanwhile, those moist easterly winds are throwing a dance party across the country—everyone’s invited!
Here’s what you can expect before the midnight chime:
Get ready for a few cloudy interludes, accompanied by some showers that may turn into those blustery friends known as isolated heavy falls, particularly if you’re in the interior and eastern parts of Macuata, Southern Bua, Cakaudrove (including our fabulous Taveuni), and the likeminded smaller islands. Eastern bits of Viti Levu from the excitement of Serua-Namosi over to Navua-Suva-Nausori, up to the friendly faces in Tailevu-North, as well as the Lau and Lomaiviti groups, should also brace for a splash of wetness.
Elsewhere, expect more cloudy spells with occasional afternoon or evening showers and the chance for some thunderous theatrics. Oh, and watch out for those sneaky heavy downpours that could lead to splashy moments in low-lying areas. Don’t forget your umbrellas—those aren’t just for show!
For tomorrow, here’s a taste of what the weather gods have in store:
– **Navua / Suva / Nausori**: Cloudy periods with some lasting showers and afternoon downpours possibly throwing in thunder for effect. Tomorrow’s menu features a minimum of 23 degrees and a maximum of 29.
– **Nadi / Lautoka / Ba**: More clouds, a sprinkle of afternoon or evening showers, plus those thrill-seeking thunderstorms. Tomorrow’s forecast: Min 24, Max 33.
