Good morning, weather enthusiasts! Whether you’re a meteorologist in training, or just someone trying to decide if flip-flops are an appropriate footwear choice, here’s your latest update from the ever-breezy National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi.

We have a persistent strong wind alert flitting around like a determined seagull for coastal land areas in Ra-Rakiraki, Southern Bua, Taveuni, Lau and Lomaiviti Groups, Kadavu, and their entourage of smaller islands. It’s like a family reunion, with a high-pressure system coming in from the southwest, bending those palm trees in greeting.

In clearer terms, today will feature moody, cloudy episodes with those cheeky, fleeting showers over the interior and eastern realms of Viti Levu, as well as Vanua Levu and, yes, all our usual island suspects. Meanwhile, the rest of Fiji basks under mainly fine skies, playing it cool—especially after sunset.

Expect moderate to fresh southeast winds flirting with rough seas. Think of them as Mother Nature’s equivalent of a rock concert—unexpected, noisy, but thrilling to witness.

Wednesday isn’t a dramatic plot twist. Our coastal pals in Ra-Rakiraki and friends will continue their dance with southeast winds whipping at 45 km/hr, backed by slightly rough seas for added drama.

For our resort-prone spots like Nadi, Lautoka, Ba, and the idyllic Coral Coast, it’s sunshine galore, with nights cool enough to invent a new form of Fijian hot chocolate. Temperatures will flirt between a cozy 19-20°C at night and a sun-friendly 29-30°C during the day.

From high clouds to quickie showers, the forecast serves up something for everyone in regions like Suva, Taveuni, and the in-apparently charming Savusavu. Bring an umbrella—because it’s not just for dancing in the rain; it makes for a great sunshade too!

Meanwhile, up in Rotuma, a strong wind warning’s decided it’s not done with you yet. Winds are karate-chopping their way at 45 km/hr but should ease up, offering a more mellow time by tomorrow—just loads of character for those perfect sun and sea selfies.

That’s all for your weather sneak peek today. Dress warm, stay positive, and maybe secure your hat to avoid a surprise trip. If you’re out sailing, keep a firm grip on the boat—or your drink!
