Hang onto your hats, folks, because the southeast winds are blowing in like they’ve got something to prove! A strong wind warning is still making its presence felt from Ra-Rakiraki all the way to Kadavu and every charming spot in between. With gusts reaching up to 45 km/hr, these breezes might just give your laundry that extra whip!

Through tomorrow night, brace yourself for a mix of blustery winds and the odd brief shower, particularly if you’re hanging out in places such as Serua-Namosi and Suva-Nausori. But don’t worry, it won’t be raining cats and dogs—just the occasional sprinkle to keep things interesting. Elsewhere, it’s mostly fine weather with a splash of cloud now and then, punctuated by a fresh breeze that’s perfect for flying kites or dramatically clutching a windswept scarf.

In the cooler night air, you might be tempted to grab a cozy sweater and a hot drink—and you wouldn’t be wrong. Temperatures will dip to a chillier 17°C in some areas like Navua or Rakiraki, while the mercury will offer a comfortably cool vibe elsewhere.

Monday promises to shake things up by, well, not changing much. The southeast winds will keep strutting their stuff across the Fiji group with similar speeds, though they’ll ease a bit in some parts. Showers may choose to make a guest appearance here and there in the afternoon or evening, just to keep us guessing.

Taking a peek at the specifics: Suva is cool with an attitude—expect clouds and a gentle sneak of showers, highs around 28°C. In Nadi, we’re sticking mostly to sunny-side up with temperatures trying to hit 30°C like it’s the latest fitness challenge. Sigatoka’s beautiful beaches will also enjoy a sunny interlude barring a potential late-day splash—get those sunnies ready!

For our windy capitals of Rakiraki and Taveuni, the breezy show continues with forces strong enough to ruffle feathers and sailboats alike. Similarly, our majestic Lau and Lomaiviti group along with Kadavu should keep an eye on those winds as they frolic about.

Over in Rotuma, it’s nearly the same story but with a bit more swagger. Those 45 km/hr winds are throwing a party on land and sea alike, but no worries—fine weather refuses to be overshadowed by all the wind.

So, whether you’re cozying up inside or heading out to embrace the elements this weekend, keep a playful spirit and maybe tuck away that extra loose hat just to keep the wind from snatching it away on its adventurous ride!
