Weather Alert!
Issued at 7:30 PM on Monday the 15th of December 2025 from the National Weather Forecasting Centre Nadi

Grab your umbrellas, folks, because the Fiji Group is in for a drenching! Yes, you heard it right: the heavy rain warning is still waving its flag across the entire group. And don’t forget about our flashy friend, the flash flood warning, who’s also making a spectacular appearance!

What’s happening, you ask? Well, there’s a shallow low-pressure area that seems to be having a leisurely drift over the southern parts of Fiji, all while enjoying a cozy spot along an active trough of low pressure. This means you can expect clouds and rain to hang around like that one friend who overstays their welcome.

As for tomorrow, expect a side of occasional rain with hefty helpings of heavy downpours and a sprinkle of thunderstorms to keep things interesting. Warning: continuous heavy rain might lead to flash flooding in low-lying regions, so keep your floaties handy! Winds from the north to northwest will make their presence known, fresh and gusty, especially where the rain gets a little too enthusiastic. And don’t forget: the seas will be moderate to rough, so maybe postpone that boat trip for now!

Now, what’s on the menu for Wednesday? More rain and thunderstorms! If you thought the forecast was a repeat, you’d be right! Persistent heavy rain might continue to cause flash flooding, and the wind will be tossing its hair around, with moderate to fresh gusts. So, it’s best to stay indoors and sip on some hot chocolate.
