Weather Alert: Don Your Rain Gear!
Issued from the National Weather Forecasting Centre in Nadi at 10:45 AM on Monday, December 15, 2025, we’ve got some rainy revelations for you!
Hold onto your umbrellas, folks! A HEAVY RAIN WARNING is now in full swing for the entire Fiji group. That’s right; it’s time to treat your raincoat like royalty. Also, we’ve slapped a FLASH FLOOD WARNING on top of that – because who doesn’t enjoy a little drama from Mother Nature?
What’s going on, you ask? Well, a shallow low pressure system is drifting over the southern parts, cozying up alongside an active, but slow-moving trough of low pressure. Basically, we’ve got clouds and rain galore hanging around to liven up our days.
And let’s not forget about Tropical Depression 03F (TD03F) making itself comfortable to the northwest near Vanuatu. So, pack your patience and prepare for some showers and possible thunderstorms.
Forecast to midnight tomorrow for the Fiji group: Expect on-again, off-again rain, heavy at times, and yes, a few thunderstorm surprises across most areas. You might want to keep those flip-flops handy because persistent heavy rain could lead to flash flooding in low-lying spots.
Moderate north to northwest winds will gust through as if they’re showing off, creating moderate to rough seas.
Looking ahead to Wednesday: Rain and thunder are expected to continue their encore across most places. The heavy falls aren’t shy, so low areas should be prepared for potential flash flooding again. Winds will shift to a fresh breeze from the southeast and north, so hang onto your hats!
