Fiji Water Supply Alert: Prepare for Possible Disruptions!

The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) is alerting residents in certain areas about potential water supply disruptions due to high turbidity levels at the Tamavua Water Treatment Plant (WTP). This warning comes in response to ongoing heavy rainfall, which may significantly impact the quality of water in source streams and consequently affect water treatment and supply processes.

The following areas may experience disruptions:

– **Namadi Heights**: Mika Drue Place and Pathik Crescent.
– **Bayview Heights**: Mead Road, Volavola Road, Evetts Place, Top Shop Road, Sawau Road, Yohann Place, Vuibau Place, Sam Lal Road, Paul Sloan Street, and Joyce Perks Street.
– **Sakoca Areas**: Elevated areas along Lakha Singh Road, including Sakoca Road, Wrong Turn, Delaiveiruka Place, Raikiwai Road, and Nagatugatu Road.
– **Tacirua**: Elevated areas along Tacirua Road, including Raibevu Road, Tacirua Heights, Raisuluwaki Road, Nakoivalu Road, and Dokanaisuva Road.
– **Tamavua**: Areas including MH Superfresh, Upper Mead Road, Princes Road from Twomey Hospital to Loa Street Junction, Tamavua Koro, Niranji, Devoji, and Upper Raiwaqa.
– **Dokanaisuva**: Locations along Princes Road from Savutalele Junction to Khalsa Road, Jeremiah College, and Savutalele Settlement Road.
– **Coloisuva**: Stretching along Princes Road from Joe’s Farm to Sawani Service Station, covering various roads and localities.
– **Lami Area**: Upper areas of Lami Village Road and neighboring streets.

WAF sincerely regrets the potential inconvenience and is urging customers to prepare accordingly by storing adequate water for essential needs, limiting non-essential water use, and ensuring cleanliness of stored water. The WAF teams are dedicated to monitoring the situation and will work diligently to restore full supply as conditions improve.
