Fiji Water Flying Fijians Soar to 9th in World Rugby Rankings!

The FIJI Water Flying Fijians have moved up to 9th in the World Rugby rankings after their significant victory over Japan in the Pacific Nations Cup final. Head coach Mick Byrne highlighted the tournament’s role in developing future Fijian rugby stars. “It’s a great opportunity for us in the PNC to select a good bunch of young players,” Byrne remarked. He also recognized the roles of veteran players from last year’s World Cup and suggested that changes are on the horizon. “Over the next few years, some of those players will be replaced, and the sooner we can get the younger ones into the test arena, the better it is for the future of the team and for Fiji Rugby,” he stated. This triumph not only strengthens Fiji’s prospects but also emphasizes the bright futures of many squad members, most of whom are just beginning their professional rugby careers.
