Fiji Water Flying Fijians head coach Mick Byrne is gearing up for a challenging series as his team prepares to compete against Samoa and Tonga in the upcoming 2024 Pacific Nations Cup. Byrne described the forthcoming matches as a “tough Pacific battle” that will provide significant learning opportunities for the team.
“Samoa and Tonga are formidable opponents, as they consistently demonstrate,” Byrne stated. “We are eagerly anticipating the chance to host Samoa at home before we travel to Tonga and then onto Japan.”
Recognizing the physicality and competitive nature of both teams, Byrne is prepared for a hard-fought contest. “Both teams will be equally competitive, and we are looking forward to that challenge,” he mentioned.
The Fijians are set to face Manu Samoa at the HFC Bank Stadium next Friday at 6 PM.
