Fiji Water Flying Fijians Bonding Ahead of All Blacks Showdown

FIJI Water Flying Fijians Head Coach Mick Byrne has expressed satisfaction with the strong bond forming between Fijian Drua players and those based overseas as they prepare for their major clash against the All Blacks in San Diego next weekend.

Byrne emphasized that the players are well-connected, and this special bonding within the camp has elevated their spirits significantly.

He highlighted the respect and unity among the players, noting a brotherhood where every member supports each other both on and off the field.

“There is a lot of positivity in the camp and definitely the energy is high. The Fijian boys are known for their smiles and being happy all the time so the morale is definitely high as we work on our strategies to tackle the All Blacks,” Byrne said.

The former Fijian Drua mentor believes that high-stakes matches like the one against the All Blacks are excellent preparation for the national team, gearing them up for future challenges, including the 2027 Rugby World Cup.

The Flying Fijians are set to face New Zealand at 3am next Saturday (Fiji Time).
