Fiji’s National Development Plan (NDP) 2025-2029 is set to be implemented starting January 1, 2025.
During its final meeting of the financial year yesterday, the Cabinet was briefed on the progress and finalization of the NDP.
The NDP outlines a new national vision, which is translated into sectoral policies and strategies, complete with a systematic framework for implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
The vision of the NDP is “Empowering the People of Fiji through Unity,” aiming to create an inclusive and prosperous nation moving towards a resilient and sustainable economy.
In addition, the Cabinet reviewed the draft of Vision 2050 during the meeting.
Vision 2050 outlines the long-term development aspirations of Fijians over the next 25 years.
