Fiji’s National Development Plan (NDP) 2025-2029 is set to be implemented starting January 1, 2025. Cabinet members were briefed on the progress and finalization of the NDP during their final meeting of the financial year yesterday. The NDP outlines a new national vision that is translated into sectoral policies and strategies, featuring a systematic framework for implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. The vision of the NDP is ‘Empowering the People of Fiji through Unity’ to create an inclusive and prosperous nation that aims for a resilient and sustainable economy. During the meeting, Cabinet also reviewed the draft of Vision 2050, which outlines the long-term development aspirations of Fijians over the next 25 years.
