Fiji’s Cabinet has given its official endorsement to the National Cybersecurity and Resilience Strategy 2026–2031, along with an accompanying Action Plan. This comprehensive strategy aims to promote cyber-awareness and ensure digital safety for communities and businesses across the nation.

The strategy focuses on several key areas including enhancing cyber incident response capabilities, bolstering defenses against cybercrime, and safeguarding critical government systems and infrastructure. Furthermore, it aims to cultivate a skilled cybersecurity workforce that is diverse and well-equipped to manage emerging cyber threats, while also improving leadership in the field of cybersecurity and promoting international collaborations.

The Action Plan details a structured, results-oriented approach to executing the Strategy, which will involve ongoing stakeholder engagement as well as continuous monitoring and evaluation to ensure its effectiveness.

This initiative highlights Fiji’s dedication to establishing a secure digital landscape and developing a robust national cyber infrastructure, reinforcing the country’s commitment to cybersecurity as an essential component of its digital future.
