Fiji’s National Development Plan (NDP) 2025-2029 is set to take effect from January 1, 2025.
The Cabinet was updated on the progress and finalization of the NDP during its final meeting of the financial year yesterday.
The NDP outlines a new national vision, translated into sectoral policies and strategies, supported by a systematic implementation, monitoring, and evaluation framework.
The vision of the NDP is ‘Empowering the People of Fiji through Unity’ to establish an inclusive and prosperous nation with a resilient and sustainable economy.
The Cabinet also reviewed the draft of Vision 2050 during the meeting.
Vision 2050 outlines the long-term development goals of Fijians over the next 25 years.
