Education leaders recently participated in a two-day workshop focused on enhancing school management, policy implementation, and initiatives centered on student success. The AFEP 2026 Capacity Building and National Education Policy Awareness Workshop, inaugurated by Minister for Education Aseri Radrodro, gathered heads of schools alongside divisional and district education officers.
Minister Radrodro expressed gratitude for the valuable contributions of the Australian government and the Australia-Fiji Education Program (AFEP) in bolstering Fiji’s education system. He specifically thanked the Fiji Platform Support Services for providing funding for the event, which was hosted at Studio 6 in Suva.
The workshop introduced 24 significant policies, including the Teacher Remuneration Policy, Student Progression and Retention Policy, and Customer Service Policy. These policies are designed to foster transparency, accountability, and high-quality education throughout all schools in the country. The collaborative efforts evident in this workshop underscore a commitment to improving educational outcomes for students across Fiji.
