Attention, Fiji! We have a HEAVY RAIN ALERT in effect, making it a prime time for ducks and umbrella sales! If you were planning on drying those laundry or having a leisurely beach day, I’d recommend a change of plans. You might want to don your best rain gear instead.

The culprit? A pesky trough of low pressure getting cozy with rain clouds all over the islands. It’s like Mother Nature’s decided to invite her friends over for a splash party!

Forecast until midnight tomorrow:
Expect the skies to throw a tantrum with occasional rain, sometimes heavy enough to make you wonder if a superhero is crying. Thunderstorms might even join the mix, providing some dramatic flair. Thankfully, we’ll see the rain take a chill pill and ease off tomorrow.

Winds will be acting like they just had a cup of coffee, moderate to fresh southeasterly to northerly breezes will keep us company. Don’t forget about the seas! They might get a bit ruffled up, so hold onto your beach balls!

Looking ahead to Tuesday:
Occasional showers and a sprinkling of thunderstorms will be making appearances over Vanua Levu, Taveuni, and a few nearby islands. The rest of you can expect those delightful afternoon or evening showers as well. A moderate northeasterly wind will be blowing, keeping everything mildly interesting at sea.

Here’s a breakdown for your flourishes of daily life:
