The Fiji Sports Council (FSC) Under-20 team is eagerly preparing for an upcoming tour to New Zealand next month, embodying a strong determination to succeed. Head coach Sireli Bobo shared that the team will begin its training camp on January 3, aiming to leave Fiji on January 29 for the tournament.

Bobo expressed his gratitude to the FSC for successfully organizing the Under-20 sevens series, which comprised five competitive legs in locations such as Navua, Sigatoka, Savusavu, Rakiraki, and concluded at Suva’s HFC Bank Stadium on November 30. He noted the impressive turnout and the emergence of many talented young athletes throughout the competition, highlighting the spirited performances from various teams, including Village Boys, QVSOBs, Ca’au, and Dominion Brothers.

The primary goal of the tour is to win, but Bobo also emphasized the importance of developing players from the grassroots level to prepare them for higher competition. This experience will not only be an opportunity to showcase their skills but also a significant moment for some players who will be flying for the first time.
