The Fiji Under-19 netball team recently wrapped up a three-match series against Aotearoa Māori Netball, with the visitors achieving victory in all their encounters. Despite the defeats, Fiji’s young athletes gained essential experience and exposure on their developmental path.
In the opening match, the Aotearoa Māori team showcased their prowess, finishing with a commanding 74-29 win. Fiji displayed progress in the second match, although they narrowly lost 55-44 in a closely contested game. The series concluded with Aotearoa Māori clinching a 70-30 victory in the final match held at the FNU Gymnasium.
Although the outcomes were not favorable for Fiji, the competition proved to be an invaluable learning experience for the Under-19 team as they strive for growth and improvement moving forward.
