Moses Armstrong Ravula, the younger brother of Fijian Drua fly-half Isaiah Armstrong Ravula, has been selected for the SportsWorld Fiji U20 squad for the upcoming Oceania Rugby U20s Challenge. His addition to the team reflects his skill and rapid development, especially following his recent performances with Queensland Premier Rugby Club, Norths, where he has shone as a key player in the Premier Grade and is actively involved in their BERA Academy.
Head Coach Senirusi Seruvakula has named a strong 28-man squad, which boasts 15 players who previously competed in the Super Rugby U20 Championship in New Zealand, lending significant experience to the team. The Fiji U20 squad enters the tournament as the reigning champions, aiming to defend their title against rival teams from Tonga, Canada, and Samoa.
The Oceania Rugby U20s Challenge is set to commence next Wednesday, with Fiji U20 taking on Tonga U20, followed by matches against Canada U20 on June 6 and Samoa U20 on June 7. With their track record and the talent assembled, Fiji U20 is expected to put on an impressive display.
This development highlights not only the family’s commitment to rugby but also the growing prospects for Fijian rugby on international platforms. With talents like Moses Ravula emerging, the future looks promising for the sport in Fiji.
