Fiji Under 20 captain Moses Armstrong-Ravula has secured an opportunity to train and potentially play for the Fijian Drua over the next two Super Rugby Pacific seasons, marking a major milestone in his rugby career. Describing the opportunity as a “dream come true and a huge blessing from God,” this marks Ravula’s first full-time rugby contract.

As the younger brother of Fijian Drua flyhalf Isaiah Armstrong-Ravula, Moses is no stranger to the sport’s demands and has been balancing personal commitments with his passion for rugby. His journey has been supported significantly by his community, for which he expresses deep gratitude. Despite his new commitments, Ravula assures supporters that his business, Godly Sports Apparel, will continue to operate, with shipments being managed from Australia in his absence.

Ravula’s leadership skills shone when he led his team to defend their title against Samoa, winning 48-16 in the Oceania U20 Rugby Challenge held at Prince Charles Park in Nadi. His prowess on the field and dedication to the sport are clear indicators of his potential to make a substantial impact in higher-level competitions.

The Fijian Drua, gaining recognition for cultivating young rugby talent, will welcome Moses into a team where he will undoubtedly continue to thrive alongside his brother Isaiah, who has recently renewed his contract with the club. Isaiah has contributed significantly to the team’s victories, achieving remarkable feats in the Super Rugby Pacific competition.

The pair’s involvement with the Drua underscores a broader trend within Fijian rugby, emphasizing the importance of nurturing young, talented players. Moses’ journey aligns with the promising future of Fijian rugby, reflecting a continuous growth pattern within the sport. The enthusiasm surrounding Moses Armstrong-Ravula’s career progression and the positive impact of young players like him contribute to an optimistic outlook for the future of rugby in Fiji.
