The Dominion Brothers and Sinukakala women’s team emerged victorious at the second leg of the Fiji Sports Council U20 7s tournament held at Lawaqa Park. In the men’s cup final, Dominion secured a narrow victory over Ca’au with a score of 12-10, while Sinukakala triumphed in the women’s final, defeating Sea Hawks 26-10.
Dominion’s journey to the final was marked by a convincing 22-7 win against Delaisaru Dragons in the first semi-final. Meanwhile, Ca’au fought their way to the final by overcoming Village Boys with a hard-fought 17-7 victory in their semi-final match.
In other competition categories, PSM Aflame took home the plate final with a score of 22-17 against QVSOB, and Ratu Filise claimed the bowl final by defeating Western Marine 26-7.
This second leg of the tournament not only showcased the burgeoning talent in Fiji’s rugby scene but also laid the groundwork for intense competition in the upcoming rounds. With the third leg set to take place next week in Savusavu, teams are eager to refine their strategies and continue their pursuit of victory.
