The head coach of the Fiji U-16 Junior Kulas, Marika Rodu, has stated that the team’s goal is to secure the top position in their pool, with one crucial match remaining against Samoa in the OFC U-16 Women’s Championships. Currently, Fiji holds one draw and one victory, accumulating 4 points, while Samoa leads with 2 wins and 6 points.
Rodu remarked after the recent match against the Cook Islands, “The girls fought hard to keep our hopes alive to top the pool. Moving forward, it’s essential that we score and win the game against Samoa.”
Reflecting on lessons learned from their previous match against Tonga, Rodu added, “We made a few adjustments and I believe we performed a bit better. We just want to improve our game with each match.”
Fiji’s upcoming match against Samoa is scheduled for Saturday at 3 PM at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
