Fiji U-16 Junior Kulas head coach Marika Rodu expressed the team’s goal of finishing at the top of their pool with one decisive match remaining against Samoa in the OFC U-16 Women’s Championships. Currently, Fiji has recorded one draw and one victory, totaling 4 points, while Samoa leads with 6 points from two victories.
“The girls fought hard to keep our hopes alive for topping the pool. Moving forward, it’s crucial that we score and win the game against Samoa,” Rodu stated following yesterday’s match against the Cook Islands.
Rodu noted that the team learned valuable lessons from their game against Tonga, implemented a few changes, and saw improved performance. “We aim to progress game by game,” he added.
Fiji is set to face Samoa on Saturday at 3 PM at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
