Fiji’s U-16 Junior Kulas head coach, Marika Rodu, has stated that their goal is to finish at the top of their pool with one decisive match remaining against Samoa in the OFC U-16 Women’s Championships.
Currently, Fiji has recorded one draw and one victory, earning a total of 4 points, while Samoa leads the pool with 6 points from two wins.
“The girls fought hard to keep our hopes alive for topping the pool. Moving forward, we need to focus on scoring and winning the game against Samoa,” Rodu commented after the recent match against the Cook Islands.
“We learned lessons from the game against Tonga, made a few adjustments, and I believe we performed slightly better. Our aim is to improve with each game,” the coach added.
Fiji’s match against Samoa is scheduled for Saturday at 3 PM at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
