Fiji U-16 Girls Gear Up for Pool Decider Against Samoa!

Fiji’s U-16 Junior Kulas head coach Marika Rodu has expressed the team’s goal of finishing at the top of their group, with one critical match remaining against Samoa in the OFC U-16 Women’s Championships. Currently, Fiji has accumulated 4 points from one win and one draw, trailing behind Samoa, which has 6 points from two victories.

“Girls fought hard to keep our hopes alive to top the pool. Moving forward, it’s a matter of scoring and winning the game against Samoa,” Rodu commented following yesterday’s match against the Cook Islands.

The coach noted that the team learned valuable lessons from their previous match against Tonga, made some adjustments, and felt they performed better in their latest game. “We’ll just like to grow game by game,” he added.

Fiji is set to face Samoa on Saturday at 3 PM at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
