Fiji U-16 Girls Chase Glory in Showdown Against Samoa

Fiji U-16 Junior Kulas head coach Marika Rodu has expressed the team’s goal of finishing at the top of their pool as they prepare for a crucial match against Samoa in the OFC U-16 Women’s Championships. Currently, Fiji has one draw and one win, totaling four points, while Samoa leads with two wins for a total of six points.

“The girls fought hard to keep our hopes alive for topping the pool. Moving forward, it’s all about scoring and winning the game against Samoa,” Rodu stated following their recent match against the Cook Islands.

Reflecting on the lessons learned from their game against Tonga, Rodu mentioned that adjustments were made, leading to a better performance. “We made a few changes, and I think we performed slightly better. We just want to improve game by game,” the coach concluded.

Fiji is set to face Samoa on Saturday at 3 PM at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
