The Fiji Under-15 Boys football squad has successfully narrowed down its roster from 40 to 23 players after a demanding two-week trial period. The chosen athletes are currently participating in a training camp at the Fiji FA Academy in Ba, refining their skills and strategic play in preparation for the upcoming OFC U-15 Boys Youth Development Tournament scheduled for April 15 to 23, 2025, in New Zealand.

The current squad will continue its training regimen, with the final traveling team of 16 players set to be announced on April 7, just one week before their departure. This meticulous selection process underscores the commitment to nurturing young talent in Fiji, reflecting parallel initiatives that focus on developing athletes in various age categories, including the preparation of the Fiji Schoolboys under-18 team.

This emphasis on youth sports is part of a broader national strategy aimed at enhancing the future of football in Fiji, inspiring young athletes to strive for excellence in international competitions. As they engage in rigorous training, there is a collective optimism that their dedication and effort will lead to success on the world stage. This proactive approach not only enhances the skills of the team but also promotes a culture of sportsmanship, teamwork, and excellence within Fijian football.

The focus on youth development in sports presents a promising outlook for the future of Fijian athletics, fostering aspirations beyond borders and nurturing the next generation of sporting talent.
