The 2024 Fiji Tourism Convention, which took place this week in Nadi, has been recognized as a significant milestone in the Coalition Government’s initiatives to promote growth, innovation, and sustainability within Fiji’s tourism sector.
The event showcased record visitor numbers alongside a progressive national tourism framework, underscoring the government’s effective leadership and the industry’s determination to enhance Fiji’s status as a premier global destination.
Villiame Gavoka, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation, emphasized that a major highlight of the Convention is the introduction of the Fiji National Sustainable Tourism Framework 2024-2034. This framework reflects the government’s dedication to making Fiji a worldwide frontrunner in sustainable tourism, ensuring enduring advantages for both the environment and local communities.
