A farmer from Fiji, accused of derogatory social media activities targeting Minister for Information Lynda Tabuya, will remain in custody until October. Lui Bale Vuibereta appeared before the Suva Magistrate’s Court, facing charges of causing harm by posting electronic communication, criminal intimidation, and making indecent or annoying remarks. The allegations stem from a live video Vuibereta reportedly posted on TikTok, in which he used offensive language against Ms. Tabuya on February 14 in Nadi. The court has adjourned the case to October 1.
