Fiji: The Dream Wedding Destination for This Kiwi Couple

Spread the love

After spending over six years together, Fiji-born couple Jiten Lal and Sandya Chand chose to return to their homeland from New Zealand to celebrate their wedding and reception. Despite having lived in Auckland for nearly 30 years, the couple has always held Fiji dear to their hearts, making it an obvious choice for their wedding destination.

Jiten, originally from Nausori, is a successful entrepreneur running a courier business in Auckland, while Sandya, hailing from Nadi, works as a retail business manager. They met in Manukau, Auckland, and decided to marry in Fiji after living together for six years and eight months.

“We both feel privileged and honored to get married in Fiji, our birthplace, as many family and friends were able to join us and shower us with their love and blessings,” said Lal. The couple expressed gratitude for the hospitality and exceptional service they received during their stay, particularly lauding the Novotel Hotel in Lami for its breathtaking decorations and accommodating staff.

“The food was remarkable, and the entire event was organized flawlessly,” said Lal, who also praised the various Fijian service providers involved in their celebration. He encourages others considering marriage to choose Fiji, highlighting the friendly and professional nature of the vendors.

Additionally, Lal and Chand believe in the importance of reconnecting with their roots and creating memories with loved ones, particularly as life is fleeting. They look forward to returning to Fiji for Christmas and New Year’s celebrations and have plans to establish a business here to contribute to the local community’s economic growth.

This couple’s journey underscores the power of love and the importance of community. Their choice to return to Fiji not only emphasizes their deep-rooted connections to their homeland but also reflects a commitment to fostering relationships and supporting the local economy. Their story serves as a reminder that meaningful life events, such as weddings, can be both a personal celebration and a way to give back to the community where one’s heart belongs.
