The Fiji Tech Summit is a pivotal event in the Pacific’s technological landscape. Datec chairman Isikeli Tikoduadua emphasized this during his welcoming speech at the 2024 Fiji Tech Summit in Nadi, themed “Connecting Pacific.”
Mr. Tikoduadua noted that for the past two years, the summit has served as the largest technology event in the Pacific, facilitating connections with global tech leaders and establishing a framework for the region’s technological roadmap. He acknowledged the hard work of the Datec team and their global partners in bringing advanced technology to Fiji and the Pacific.
He underscored that technology is a crucial driver of change in an ever-evolving world, enabling connection, innovation, and adaptability amid unprecedented challenges. Tikoduadua urged island nations to align with and surpass their economic and productivity goals by embracing a digital economy through ongoing technological advancements.
He highlighted that innovation is vital for increasing productivity and prosperity. The Fiji Tech Summit serves as an excellent platform for expediting the digital transformation occurring in Fiji and the South Pacific. Many organizations are at various phases of digital transformation, and it is a shared responsibility to hasten this change, promoting innovation and continuous growth.
Mr. Tikoduadua expressed gratitude to vendors for their invaluable participation in the exhibition, allowing delegates to engage directly and better understand the specific needs of Pacific customers. He acknowledged their commitment to advancing technology in the region.
