Seventeen teams from Fiji are set to participate in the football competition of the 10th Sanatan World Cup, taking place next month in Sydney, Australia. The tournament will feature eight teams in the Premiers division, six in the Over 40s category, and three in the Over 45s.
The teams competing in the Premiers division include Labasa, Lomawai, Narere/Makoi, Suva, Sigatoka, Nadi, Nakasi, and Ulusila Yadua. In the Over 40s division, teams from Labasa, Nadi, Sigatoka, Lautoka, Lomawai, and Labasa Viti will be in action, while Nasinu, Nadroga, and Lautoka will represent the Over 45s category.
The Rams Group of Companies is sponsoring this four-day event, which will be held at the Blacktown Spartan Sporting Complex from September 26 to 29. A total of 59 teams from Fiji, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and Canada will compete in this year’s tournaments.
The groupings for the competitions are as follows:
**Premiers**
– Group A: Sydney Suva Sanatan, Queensland Sanatan Brothers, NZ Waitakere Sanatan, Labasa Sanatan, and Lomawai Sanatan.
– Group B: Victoria Sanatan, Sydney Rewa Sanatan, NZ Nadroga Sanatan, Narere/Makoi Sanatan, and Suva Sanatan.
– Group C: Queensland Sanatan, Wellington Sanatan, NZ Sanatan All Stars, and Sigatoka.
– Group D: Canberra Sanatan, Wellington City Sanatan, NZ Sanatan, and Nadi.
– Group E: Sydney Ba Sanatan, NZ Ba Sanatan, Nakasi, and Ulusila Yadua Sanatan.
**Over 40s**
– Group A: Adelaide Sanatan, Sydney Navua Sanatan, NZ Nadroga Sanatan, and Labasa Sanatan.
– Group B: Sydney Sanatan, Queensland Sanatan, USA Masters Sanatan, Nadi Sanatan, and Sigatoka Sanatan.
– Group C: Canberra Sanatan, Melbourne Sanatan, USA Island Boys Sanatan, and Lautoka Sanatan.
– Group D: Sydney Labasa, Wellington City Sanatan, Lomawai Sanatan, and Labasa Viti Sanatan.
**Over 45s**
– Group A: Sydney Toso Suva Sanatan, Victoria Sanatan, NZ Rewa Sanatan, NZ Tavua Sanatan, and Nasinu Sanatan.
– Group B: Sydney Navua Sanatan, NZ Nadroga Sanatan, NZ Lautoka Veterans Sanatan, Nadroga Sanatan Legends, and Lautoka Sanatan.
**Over 50s**
– Group A: Sydney Nadroga Sanatan, Sydney Bua Sanatan, Queensland Legends Sanatan, Australian Sanatan, and Viti Boys Canada Sanatan.
– Group B: Sydney Lautoka Blues Sanatan, Sydney Nadi Masters Sanatan, Queensland Masters Sanatan, Coral Coast Canada Sanatan, and NZ Legends Sanatan.
