The Fiji Taxi Association has voiced strong condemnation regarding an unsettling incident where a taxi driver was filmed watching pornography while transporting a female passenger. Ashwin Lal, General Secretary of the Association, described the behavior as utterly unacceptable and called on authorities to investigate the situation thoroughly. Lal stated, “Drivers are meant to take passengers to their destination smoothly, not watch pornography while driving. They should not even be picking up their phones while driving.” He further indicated that if it is confirmed the driver was using their phone during the incident, appropriate charges should be filed.
