The Cabinet has endorsed the Air Transport Agreement with the United States, establishing a bilateral open skies arrangement with the Government of Fiji. This marks Fiji’s inaugural Air Transport Agreement focusing on open skies, developed in collaboration with Fiji Airways. Acting Prime Minister and Minister for Trade Manoa Kamikamica stated that the Agreement is a result of the liberalization of Fiji’s Aviation Policy. This policy enables the assessment of potential bilateral and multilateral open skies arrangements individually, aimed at ensuring route viability, sustaining trade, attracting investment, and supporting Fiji’s tourism sector.
