In 2024, the Fiji Sugar Corporation saw a reduction of $170,000 in the salaries of key management personnel compared to the previous year. The annual report for 2024 indicates that key management received a total of $1.16 million in 2023, while the amount paid in 2024 was $1.33 million.
As of May 31, 2024, the report notes that eight executives were recognized as key management personnel, the same number as in 2023. This includes the chief executive officer, head of finance, chief operating officer, head of agriculture, three mill general managers, and the chief human resources officer. These individuals hold significant authority and responsibility for overseeing the corporation’s activities.
Additionally, some members of the executive management team received non-cash employment benefits, comprising vehicle and housing allowances and medical insurance, collectively valued at $84,395 for the year.
