After achieving two impressive victories over Tahiti and Tonga, Fiji’s team, coached by Jerry Sam, encountered a tougher opponent and found themselves trailing 5-0 at halftime.
Koleta Likuculacula managed to score Fiji’s only goal during the second half, bringing her total to four goals in three matches played. Following this heavy loss, Fiji will take a break to aid their recovery, while New Zealand is set to compete against the Solomon Islands on Thursday.
