Fiji faced a challenging match against New Zealand in the OFC Women’s Futsal Nations Cup, suffering a significant defeat of 9-1 in their third game held in the Solomon Islands. After achieving two impressive victories over Tahiti and Tonga, Fiji’s team, coached by Jerry Sam, encountered a tougher opponent and found themselves trailing 5-0 at halftime.

Koleta Likuculacula managed to score Fiji’s only goal during the second half, bringing her total to four goals in three matches played. Following this heavy loss, Fiji will take a break to aid their recovery, while New Zealand is set to compete against the Solomon Islands on Thursday.
