Fiji Strengthens Ties with Neighbors at Pacific Forum

Fiji’s Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka engaged in bilateral talks with Papua New Guinea Prime Minister James Marape and Tongan Prime Minister Hu’akavameiliku during the Pacific Islands Forum Leaders Meeting yesterday.

In his discussion with PM Marape, PM Rabuka emphasized Fiji’s dedication to collaborating with Papua New Guinea to achieve common goals. They also addressed the reopening of Fiji’s Diplomatic Mission in PNG and explored opportunities to enhance climate resilience within the region.

During his meeting with PM Hu’akavameiliku, PM Rabuka reaffirmed Fiji’s support for Tonga’s leadership and expressed his best wishes for the upcoming week. The two leaders also explored ways to strengthen their bilateral relations.
