Fiji Strengthens Ties: Key Bilateral Talks at Pacific Islands Forum

Fiji’s Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka engaged in bilateral talks with Papua New Guinea Prime Minister James Marape and Tongan Prime Minister Hu’akavameiliku during the Pacific Islands Forum Leaders Meeting.

In his discussion with PM Marape, Rabuka emphasized Fiji’s dedication to collaborating with Papua New Guinea to achieve mutual goals. They touched upon the reopening of Fiji’s Diplomatic Mission in PNG and explored ways to enhance climate resilience in the region.

During the meeting with PM Hu’akavameiliku, Rabuka expressed Fiji’s support for Tonga’s leadership and extended his best wishes for the upcoming week. The leaders also explored opportunities to strengthen the bilateral relationship between their countries.
