The America Fiji Sports Commission has made a significant contribution of $5,000 to WOWS Kids Fiji, a charitable organization dedicated to supporting children battling cancer. This donation was presented by Commission President Narend Narayan, who has been a steadfast advocate for improving the well-being of vulnerable children.
During the presentation, which took place after the 2024 Flick Hygiene Pacific Community Cup in Lautoka, Narayan was accompanied by Vice President Vinay Nair and other board members. Fiji Football Association (FA) President Rajesh Patel expressed his gratitude for the donation, acknowledging that such support transcends the sport, positively impacting lives and reflecting the true spirit of the tournament.
In a show of ongoing commitment, Patel announced that Fiji FA would continue its support for WOWS Kids through ticket sales from the tournament. “A dollar from every ticket sold over the four days of the Pacific Community Cup will go to WOWS Kids,” Patel stated. He also highlighted that Fiji FA has already contributed over $60,000 to its social responsibility initiatives, reiterating their dedication to making a difference in the community.
This collaboration showcases the power of sports organizations coming together to uplift and support those in need. It emphasizes the importance of community involvement and the potential impact of collective efforts, paving the way for a brighter future for affected children.
