Fiji Soars to Victory: A Thrilling Clash Against Tonga in Pacific Nations Cup!

The Flying Fijians triumphed over Tonga with a score of 50-19 in their Pacific Nations Cup clash in Tonga this afternoon. Fiji made a strong start, scoring three tries in quick succession by Iosefo Masi, Tevita Ikanivere, and Elia Canakaivata within the first ten minutes, establishing their dominance early in the match.

However, the match took a dramatic turn when Fiji’s Adrea Cocagi was shown a red card, giving Tonga a chance to get back into the game. Tonga seized the opportunity, scoring three consecutive tries as they capitalized on their numerical advantage.

Despite the setback, Fiji managed to extend their lead just before the halftime interval, going into the break with a 26-19 advantage. In the second half, Fiji’s defense tightened, effectively shutting down Tonga’s attempts to score. The Fijian offense continued to push forward, adding three more tries to their total, resulting in a decisive victory over Tonga.
