Communications Fiji Ltd (CFL) has reported a resounding success for the Fiji Showcase 2025, attracting an impressive 97,265 visitors, just shy of its ambitious target of 100,000. This year’s attendance surpassed last year’s record of 95,235, showcasing a steady growth trajectory despite challenging weather conditions that impeded outdoor participation.
CFL’s general manager, Charles Taylor, expressed satisfaction with the event’s outcomes. The nine-day festival, held at the Vodafone Arena, featured over 120 exhibitor booths, an array of live entertainment, amusement rides, and a vibrant food court, ensuring visitors had a diverse and enjoyable experience. Taylor emphasized the importance of the Fiji Showcase as a vital aspect of CFL’s financial performance, with further insights expected in the company’s upcoming half-year financial report.
The Fiji Showcase, which began in 1986 as the “Home and Leisure Show,” has evolved into one of the largest consumer fairs in the country, continuously enhancing its offerings and reaching new benchmarks year after year. In addition to the showcase, CFL also celebrated its 40th anniversary with three days of festivities in Suva, affirming its role as a cornerstone of Fijian media and community engagement.
CFL’s future plans include making the Fiji Showcase even bigger and better, reinforcing its commitment to the community and its dedicated audience. The event’s success reflects the resilience and enthusiasm of both organizers and attendees, fostering a positive outlook for future gatherings.
Overall, the achievements of this year’s showcase mark a hopeful chapter in Fiji’s cultural and economic landscape, inviting both locals and visitors to share in the excitement and bolster community spirit through ongoing celebrations and events.
