Fiji Shakes Up T20 World Cup with Stunning Comeback Victory!

Fiji has achieved its first win at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Sub-Regional A Pacific tournament in Samoa, making a strong comeback after losing their initial two matches. They secured a remarkable 104-run victory against the previously unbeaten Cook Islands, disrupting the standings and keeping the battle for the top position competitive.

Apete Sokovagone delivered an outstanding performance, scoring 62 runs off 37 balls, which earned him the Man of the Match title. Captain Peni Vuniwaqa contributed a valuable 30 runs from 15 balls, helping Fiji set a commanding total.

Joeli Moala, the 17-year-old youngest player on the team, continued to impress by taking 2 wickets for just 9 runs. The second round of the double round-robin tournament will resume tomorrow, with Fiji preparing to face Samoa as they look to maintain their momentum.
