Fiji Airways men’s 7s coach Osea Kolinisau has announced his 13-man squad ahead of the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series kicking off in Dubai and Cape Town. Among the notable selections, Apete Narogo, hailing from Semi Radradra’s Ubuntu team, has secured a place in the lineup, showcasing his impressive performances this year that earned him recognition.
The squad, which represents a blend of fresh talent and experienced players, also includes Jeremaia Matana, Joseva Talacolo, Sevuloni Mocenacagi, Ilikimi Torosi, Alusio Vakadranu, Terio Tamani, Pilipo Bukayaro, Sakiusa Siqila, Waisea Nacuqu, George Bose, Vuiviwa Naduvalo, and Manueli Maisamoa. The team is set to present their i-Tatau before departing for the tournament on Sunday.
The Dubai 7s will take place from November 29 to 30, followed by the Cape Town 7s on December 6 and 7. This marks an exciting new chapter for Fiji rugby, particularly as Narogo aims to make a significant impact, joining players like Isikeli Basiyalo and fly-half Aisea Nawai, who have also been competing for spots on the squad.
